Sound Trip: Spencer Day

So I’ve been sound-tripping today. Another summer day with nothing to do but talk to this wall. My blogsite has been so ever faithful to keep track of my thoughts, feelings and sentiments. No matter how many entries I post, it just takes in what I throw at it. And so, as I rummage through YT videos, I nit-picked on no other than my favorite guy, Spencer Day. Haven’t heard of him yet? Oh that’s probably because he’s not your typical pop singer, everyday rapper, or rock star. He’s unique. Let me introduce Spencer to you. I first heard of his song “Till You Come To Me” on 94.7 The Wave, while driving to work on a cold, winter day in January. I just recently had time to check him out on the net. His bio says this vocalist-songwriter-pianist “is an artistic vagabond, a modern-day musical nomad.” He was born in Utah, raised in Arizona, currently living in Los Angeles, and sometimes resides in New York and San Francisco. This guy is everywhere, I tell yah! Just like his album, Vagabond, he’s a multi-faceted artist who’s music is a mash of various genres; jazz, musical theater, cabaret, soul, folk, traditional pop, and contemporary pop are just the tip of the iceberg. He’s amazing! I’ll never get tired listening to his music – it matches my mood too. He’d sing the story of my life and yours. So here he is on my blog. I specifically picked 3 of his songs that have become my “songs”. Hope Spencer can bring out the emotions in you too. Happy sound tripping!
