Baby

A very simple name, “Baby”. It’s overused too. I hear couples calling each other baby. Dogs being named Baby. Babies being named Baby. But what’s really fascinating about this name is when someone very dear to you calls you “my baby” or “babes” or even “babylicious”. For most women (and perhaps men) it sends trickles down your spine and makes you want to cuddle with your “baby”. Kids, like Justin Bieber, made an instant hit by humming “baby baby baby ooohh, baby baby baby noooo”… and still we never get tired of using this word baby in a song.

I have picked two songs from the past, oldies if I may say, which I like listening to from time to time. These music are mostly classics. I wasn’t even born yet, or not even dating, when these two songs were on the top charts. *blush* Oh yeah, I’m an old school fan. I think my soul traveled back in time in the 60s and danced along with The Supremes, and in the 70s, sang with Smokey Robinson & The Miracles.
