Shining Star

Here’s something light and entertaining. I think I’ve been pounding serious stuff at your door lately, so I thought of sharing this video to all my readers (if there were any). This song, “Shining Star” was sung by Nami Tamaki. Kawamura Saiko wrote the lyrics and Suzuki Daisuke arranged the music. I like the intro of this song because it makes me proud that I’m an elementary school teacher. Oh yeah, I’m a teacher! There… in case you’re wondering what I really do, I just thought of putting it out there already. I’m not going to bore you about my profession though, but I will surely swing you with this tunes…hope you like it.

Shining Star (translated in English)

Sung by Nami Tamaki

My hands, it freeze in the icy wind

And I’ve got no place to go.

I put my hands in my pocket, my heart has frozen

my tears, and has yet to be healed.

As I look at the stars by myself, I see them twinkle.

And your star is sparkling.

You are my shining star forever and ever

illuminating me with all your love.

You are my shining star, because I won’t forget

all the days I spent with you…

If I’m treated badly, I won’t show any tears

and try to persevere.

I don’t want any cold rain today

Because I need to see your star again.

You are my shining star forever and ever.

Though when something happens, I still feel alone .

You are my shining star, I softly tremble

during the seasons when you’re here…

At night, I hug my knees and cry.

You’re my shining star.

Softly embrace me so I can be wrapped in.

Because I believe that I’m not alone.

Every time I look at the twinkling star, I make that wish.

You are my shining star forever and ever.

Illuminating me with all your love,

you are my shining star, because I won’t forget

all the days I spent with you…

Movie Of Your Life - by Spencer Day

Come on turn the lights down low
And sit with me in second row
Tonight they’ll show the movie of your life

The heartache and the tragedy
A light romantic comedy
You oughta see the movie of your life

Did you have a happy ever after?
Underneath the technocolor sky
Did it make you sing with joy and laughter?
Did it ever make you want to cry?
And when the final frame was fading
Did it leave you satisfied?
Or was there too much that it lacked
And did you want your money back
How did you like the movie of your life?

Come on let the camera’s roll
You wrote the lines now run the show
It’s yours to own the movie of your life

Strange and cloudy mysteries
Unravel cinematically
The beauty of the movie of your life

Then the plot begins to twist
Around the poor protagonist
And everyone’s a villain in disguise

When you hurt and if you bleed
Remember that it’s make believe
Cause in the movies no one ever dies
It’s just a

Clicker then it’s over
And they never tell you why
But boy I’m really glad I came
I’m hoping that you feel the same
I really love the movie of your life

Did you have a happy ever after?
Underneath the technocolor sky
Did it make you sing with joy and laughter?
Did it ever make you want to cry?
And when the final frame was fading
Did it leave you satisfied?
Did you cheer and beg for more
Or angrily walk out the door
And think of all you meant to say
Another chance a second take
You did your best, you gave your all
You made the final casting call
To save a little scene for me
And tell me that I’ll always be
A moment in the movie of your life
A moment in the movie of your life
